Bring the benefits of yoga to your community!

Yoga isn’t about touching your toes—it’s about awareness and connection. I specialize in bringing yoga programs to older adult communities. All yoga classes are safe, accessible, and encouraging, so you can move at your own pace and enjoy all the benefits yoga has to offer.

Classes will focus on:

  • Bone health & strength

  • Mobility & flexibility

  • Balance & fall prevention

  • Stress relief & mindfulness

Why Offer Yoga in Your Community?

  • Enhances overall health and wellness.

  • Helps residents stay active and independent longer.

  • Builds community

  • Adaptable for all levels of ability.

Class Options:

Chair Yoga
Class is accessible to everybody. Using a chair for support, students build strength, balance, flexibility, and mindfulness through gentle movement and breath work. Options for standing and balance poses are offered with the chair for stability.

  • Best for: anyone looking for a safe, supportive way to stay active and mobile.

Gentle Yoga
A slow-paced class focused on stretching, strengthening, balance, and relaxation. Minimal transitions make this class approachable for those who can move up and down from the floor. Class includes seated, quadriped (hands and knees), standing, and floor-based poses.

  • Best for: beginners and those who want a balanced class with gentle challenge and floor practice.

Slow Flow Yoga
A practice for students who are comfortable moving on and off the floor with ease. This class combines flowing sequences, longer holds, breath work, and meditation, supporting both physical strength and mental calm.

  • Best for: active older adults with prior yoga experience

Every class will have options and variations, so students can always move in a way that feels right.

Let yoga meet you where you are—and help you feel strong, steady, and calm.

Let’s work together to bring a program that promotes health, connection, and joy to your community!

Rachel's classes are great for almost anyone who is interested in yoga.  For those who are interested in exploring yoga for the first time, Rachel will gently guide you through each pose.

For the more experienced students she will offer options to reach down and find previously untapped potential in your practice.  I have experienced the ability to be more present in the moment as well as more flexibility and relief from some of my aches and pains.

I have been practicing yoga for 20 years, and Rachel is one of my favorite teachers.  The careful preparation that goes into her classes is evident, and I am most appreciative of her gentle reminders to focus on breathing throughout.  She is approachable and always willing to help with questions.  Yoga is good medicine, and Rachel is a good guide.

I have been practicing yoga for many years and I have never experienced a more personal and engaging yoga teacher than Rachel. She always is varying our practice to keep them interesting and helpful. At the end of class I feel rejuvenated and ready to start my day.

Rachel is not just for the younger student. She is terrific with the more mature age client!  She adjusts the poses for the not so limber body and works on strengthening our tired muscles and improving our balance. She is great at motivating us to do our best. She is a pleasure to work with and keeps us on our toes.  Whether you are young or old, Rachel is the perfect yoga teacher for you.

Yoga soothes the mind, body and soul.  It reminds me to stay focused, it strengthens the body through balance and mobility and it encourages patience and calmness.  Rachel comes to class with a smile on her face, always prepared yet aware of the needs and limitations of her yogis on any given day.  Her kindness and concern for others is always present.  Life can get hectic and sometimes I want to skip class, however, no matter my mood going into the practice with Rachel, I leave feeling rejuvenated, calm and with a renewed sense of self worth.

Rachel is a fine instructor of yoga. She is very knowledgeable in her field and encouraging and patient with her students. She gently stresses correct posture and proper balance which are so important for me as a senior citizen. I look forward to her classes and believe that they contribute to my wellbeing. I definitely recommend her.
